Pair of Antique Powder Blue and Famille Vert Vase Lamps

A pair of large gilt bronze mounted Chinese porcelain vases later adapted as lamp bases, each vase of rouleau shape, decorated with large panels enamelled in famille vert colours with various birds, stylised rock-work and flowering boughs, and further smaller shaped panels to the shoulders and necks with landscapes, floral sprays, Buddhistic dogs and scholarly objects, all reserved on a powder blue ground, raised on gilt bronze bases in the Louis XVI style with laurel wreath socles standing on a plinth bases with re-entrant cut corners.
