18th Century Carved Rococo Giltwood Mirror

A finely carved George III gilt-wood mirror in the manner of Thomas Chippendale, the associated, rectangular, plate contained within a crisply-carved framework of acanthus leaves, and ‘C’ scrolls and with trailing flowers and foliage to each side.
The original back boards are pasted with an interesting scene from the 19th century.
