A rare Chinese Export reverse glass painting of ‘The Studious Fair’ after the work by Mary Benwell (1739- after 1800), showing a pensive young woman, said to be Queen Charlotte, wife of George III, in a blue frock, reading a book. Presented in the original carved and ebonised frame.
