Exceptional Antique Garniture of Large Delft Covered Vases

An exceptional garniture of unusually large delft or faience pottery vases and covers, consisting of three baluster shaped vases and two sleeve or trumpet shaped vases, each with a faceted, ribbed, body and domed cover with lion finial decorated all over with exotic scenes of birds and flowers in a bright cashmere palette in imitation of oriental porcelain. A particularly unusual feature is the decoration to the underside of the lids on the baluster vases, meaning that the garniture is equally attractive viewed from below, such as atop a bookcase or tall cabinet, for example, as it is when placed on a table.
