Alfred Stellmacher founded the Royal and Imperial Porcelain Factory in Turn-Teplitz in Bohemia in the 1850s and persuaded his son, Edward Stellmacher to expand and start the Amphora Company in Vienna in 1892 with brothers Hans and Carl Reissner and Rudolf Kessel.
