French Bronze and Glass Lantern in Louis XV Style

An antique bronze and glass lantern in Louis XV style, the leafy panache cresting with four bold scroll pendant supports holding a laurel wreath which clasps the faceted glass lantern, the base with pine-cone pendant finial. This model is often referred to as a Versailles lantern, after the similar model which can be found on the Escalier du Roi.
