Georges Boin and Emile Taburet set up their workshop in 1873 producing exceptional quality metalwork, usually in the Louis XV style. They won a prestigious award at the Paris Exposition Universelle of 1889, and continued working into the early years of the 20th century. The offered mirror seems to be inspired by the works of the great mid 18th century rococo designer, Juste-Aurèle Meissonnier
