A porcelain and gilt-bronze clock in late Louis XV style, the circular white enamel dial surmounted by a bust and with bearded masks at the sides, raised on swag-draped scroll supports on a swagged , marbleised plinth; stamped BOINTABURET A PARIS, and numbered 31383

Georges Boin and Emile Taburet set up their workshop in Paris in 1873 producing fine quality metalwork and mounted objects. They won prestigious awards at the Paris Exposition Universelle of 1889, and continued working into the early 20th century
