George I Gilt-Wood Cabinet on Stand

A rare George I display cabinet on stand, the break-front display cabinet with glazed panels to the side and glazed door, with foliate-carved frame, flanked by architectural, fluted, pilasters and opening to reveal a mirror-backed interior with two adjustable shelves. The stand with patera and ribbon carved breakfront moulding above a frieze carved with fluting and containing a drawer above a scalloped apron with foliate carving and raised on straight chamfered legs with scrolling acanthus-leaf carving on a pounced and dotted ground.
