George II Rococo Gilt-wood Mirror


An elegant mid 18th Century oval mirror in the rococo style popularised by Thomas Chippendale’s Director of 1762 the mercury-silvered oval plate contained within a gadooned and leaf-carved frame flanked by bold ‘C’ scrolls and sumounted by boughs of crossed palm fronds.
