Gilbert Poillerat (1902-1988) graduated from the Ecole Boulle in 1921 and went on, sometimes working in conjunction with other designers such as Edgar Brandt and Bernard Royère, to produce a series of furnishings in wrought-iron that crystalised and defined mid 20th century French taste
