Late George III Penwork Side Cabinet

A fine and rare late George III ebonised and pen-work decorated side cabinet of breakfront form, the black marble top above a long, frieze drawers and three mirrored doors all decorated with fine pen-work of affronted griffons, cornucopia, flowers and military trophies, the sides painted to simulate lattice grilles, all in off-white on a black ground and raised on turned feet decorated to simulate gadroon carving. A secret compartment, seemingly a folio drawer or for storing trays, pulls out from the right hand side panel
