Antique Louis-Philippe Opaline Glass Vase Lamp attributed to Jean-François Robert

A Large polychrome decorated opaline vase or lamp base of baluster shape and delicately painted with birds and flowers and with orientalist pierced handles.

Now converted to a lamp (not drilled) with gilt-wood base, solid brass fittings and silk braided flex. This lamp can be wired in our workshop for use in any country. Please ask for images after conversion.

Jean-François Robert (1778-1855) invented new techniques to improve the quality and durability of painting on opaline glass. He worked at the Sèvres Factory from 1806 1843, and then at the Baccarat and St. Louis factories from 1843 to 1855.
