Antique Moroccan Painted Cupboard
A scarce, antique Moroccan painted cupboard. The pair of doors with a series of carved Arabesque arches within strap-work borders, all painted along with the panelled sides, in polychrome pigments with traditional North African designs, reminiscent of Jacques Grange’s library and bedroom created for Yves Saint Laurent at Jardin Mojorelle in Marrakesh. Constructed in cedar-wood, known for its natural anti-moth properties, and pine and retaining the original lock and key. The interior is currently divided into various compartments though easily rearranged to provide hanging space.
