Pair of George III Painted Chairs probably by Gillow

A pair of George III painted chairs in the manner of James Wyatt, and probably made by Gillows of Lancaster. The shield-shaped backs each with three palm-capped stick splats, the bowed caned seats raised on turned legs joined by turned stretchers, painted in green on a cream ground in distressed, “country house” condition.
