Pair of Painted Opaline Vase Lamps
A pair of French opaline glass vases mounted as lamps of baluster shape, hand painted in polychrome enamels with sprays of rose blooms and rose hips between gilt vertical borders of trailing leaves, the spreading feet decorated with concentric circles in gilt and blue. Raised on turned gilt-wood bases and wired with silk braided flex. The vases attributed to Sevres and decorated in the workshop of Jean-Francois Robert
