The single-branch versions of this model were sold at Christies New York, 17–18 MAY 2005 lot 439 (where it was assumed that the acanthus back plates were associated, this is not the case, they are separate castings however they are original, as is evident from inspecting our pair and the fact that the means of hanging the wall lights is via this plate)
