A set of six paintings depicting artists of the Renaissance including Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaelle, Michael-Angelo, Titian and two further unidentified sitters in gouache and watercolour of sepia tones on laid paper. Mounted in late 19thC ebonised frames.

Between 1791 and 1796, the engraver Carlo Lasinio (1759-1838) published Ritratti Originali de Pittori Esistenti Nella Reale Galleria de Firenze which consisted of a collection of engravings of self portraits of artists held in the Uffizi Collection. These six images are contemporary hand painted images after those engravings.
