Jaques-Gabriel Huquier, 1725-1805, arrived in England from his native France some time around 1770, and exhibited at the Royal Academy every year from 1771 to 1796. He was based in London, but is recorded working in fashionable Bath in 1780 and in Cambridge in 1783. He died in Shrewsbury in 1805
