A Directoire period painted sécrètaire à abattant, the frieze painted with swags of flowers and containing a drawer, the fall-front enclosing a writing interior and painted with a neoclassical vignette surrounded by swags of flowers and drapery within twined leaf borders, the cupboards below painted with neoclassical atheniennes, the sides with lyres also within leaf-twist borders, all on a butter-yellow ground and raised on tapering feet.
