Fine 18th Century Marquetry Tea Caddy attributed to Ince & Mayhew

A fine George III marquetry tea caddy, the rectangular body veneered in harewood and crossbanded in tulipwood. The front centred by an oval fan in sand-shaded boxwood, surrounded by guilloche of padouk, the key escutcheon sitting below a swag of husks. The sides and back inlaid with tulips. The rectangular lid, with original brass handle and floral decorated backplates surrounded by inlay, opening to reveal the original crimson velvet lining and two inlaid tea canisters.
