George III Bronze Samovar or Water Urn


of elegant urn-shape with twin handles, bone handled tap, urn finial to the cover and raised on a square, pierced base with bun feet. The cover is removed to reveal the original internal chamber with original iron heating element which would have been heated in the fire before boing placed inside the internal chamber which would have been surrounded by the tea or hot water. This is a remarkably intact survival and the bronze has developed a wonderful patina.
