A rare Louis XV gilt-bronze, porcelain and tôle peinte clock, the circular dial with a border of full-blown roses and supported, with the movement, in a flowering tree beneath which stands a Meissen figure flanked by urn vases in trellis arbours standing on a base of rococo scrollwork; with later glass dome, probably supplied at the same time as the good replacement Japy Frères movement in the mid 19th century
